Jump Start is a peer mentoring program dedicated to connecting students with similar backgrounds, interests, and perspectives. The Jump Start program will engage students in a Pre-Advantage experience (August 18- August 22) designed to foster community, discover opportunities for involvement, gain awareness of resources, and receive tips for mental wellness and academic success. Students will be paired with a mentor during their first academic year to provide guidance and support as they navigate the college experience.
The Multicultural Graduation Reception is a free hallmark event for the academic semester. In collaboration with International Student Services, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion will host family, friends, faculty, staff, and community to celebrate graduating students from all multicultural and underrepresented backgrounds. This program will present multicultural stoles, recognition of students’ involvement, and time to reflect on their experiences at Northwest.
